Dainty, drop earrings in reclaimed horn with brass accents. Inspired by the pristine, sandy beaches of Kiwayu Island, in the eastern part of the Lamu Archipelago.
Materials: Fully made from up-cycled Kenyan brass and reclaimed horn.
Dimensions: 7.2 x 1.5 cm.
Brass tarnishes with oxidation and exposure to moisture. To polish your artisan jewellery, use a wedge of lemon, and polish along the tarnished surface with a small cotton towel.

Ongata Rongai, Kenya
The Kiwayu Earrings are handcrafted by the artisan Andrew, based in Ongata Rongai - a town that is separated from Nairobi city proper by the Mbagathi river. Andrew loves watching the pieces come to fruition after the multistage processes of drawing, cutting, polishing, and soldering. He hopes to one day be able to build his own house, start a workshop, and create employment for other young people in his rural village in Rongai.
