Oyster Pompoms Handloomed Wool Cushion Cover
These heirloom-quality statement cushion covers are made from a natural wool yarn that is carded and spun by hand on a drop spindle, and then woven on a traditional backstrap loom.
The oyster pompoms are custom-dyed by our artisans with pericon and nopal, then assembled and applied by hand.
In total, the production of these eco-friendly wool cushions takes roughly ten to fifteen days, and helps to provide a positive stream of income for twelve families in two Mexican states.

The covers are made by a total of ten artisan women in Southern Mexico who wash, card, spin and weave natural wool to create these gorgeous pieces. The pompoms are custom-dyed by our artisan partners in Southern Mexico with locally sourced organic plants and other materials. These master artisans have been working with natural dyes and the weaving process for over four generations.
